Owner's Guide

How to transfer your boat to a new owner

Selling her, gifting her, or moving her to family? The transfer itself is the easy part — the new owner just needs to be registered on HR-Club first.

Three things to do

The whole process, before we go into detail.

First

Check that the new owner is registered on HR-Club. They need a profile to receive the transfer request.

Then

Open your boat, click Manage boat, and choose TRANSFER this boat at the bottom of the menu.

Finally

Enter the new owner's email and send the request. They accept it in their own Cockpit.

Before you start

  • The new owner needs an active HR-Club account. Registration is free at hr-club.net/member-registration and takes a minute. Without it, the transfer cannot be sent.
  • Confirm their exact email address — the one they registered with. Any other address is rejected on the spot.
  • They accept the transfer themselves, logged in to their own Cockpit, within 48 hours of your request.

Get into your Cockpit

The Cockpit is your personal dashboard. Everything in this guide happens from here.

Choose TRANSFER this boat

A menu opens with all her data sections — Media, Basic, Sails, Engine, Additional. Scroll past them: at the very bottom, under Boat Actions, sits TRANSFER this boat.

Enter the new owner's email and send

A dialog opens asking for one thing: the email the new owner registered with on HR-Club. Type it, check it twice, and click Send request. The system confirms briefly that the request is on its way — and the new owner gets an email straight away.

What happens next

The new owner's side
A

They receive an email

An email arrives with the subject "Boat transfer request", your name, the boat's name — and a Review transfer request button. The request is valid for 48 hours.

B

They find the request in their Cockpit

The button asks them to log in to HR-Club. Once logged in, the request also waits under Reminders in their Cockpit — so nothing is lost even if the email drowns in their inbox.

C

They accept — and she changes hands

Clicking Review shows the request with two buttons: Accept transfer or Decline transfer. Since the handover is usually agreed between you beforehand, most new owners accept on the spot. The boat — with all her photos, video and specification — moves to their profile, and she is removed from yours. Done.

Questions

The ones that come up most often.

What if the new owner doesn't have an HR-Club account yet?
They need one before you can send the request. Registration is free at hr-club.net/member-registration and takes about a minute. Once they're in, send the transfer to the email they registered with.
Can the transfer expire?
Yes. The request is valid for 48 hours. If the new owner doesn't respond in time, it lapses quietly — just send it again.
Can the new owner decline?
Yes. If they decline, the boat simply stays with you. Nothing changes until someone clicks Accept.
I sent the request to the wrong person — can I cancel it?
Not from the system itself. Write to [email protected] straight away with the boat's name and the email you sent it to. And remember: the request dies by itself after 48 hours if nobody accepts it.
What exactly moves with the boat?
Everything. Photos, video, specification — the boat's whole profile. The new owner takes over the page as it stands and can edit, list or manage her from their own Cockpit. You no longer have access to her.
Can I transfer several boats at once?
One at a time. If you have more boats going to the same owner, repeat the steps for each.
Something went wrong — who do I ask?
Write to [email protected] with the boat's name, the recipient's email and what happened. I read every message.
