The Hallberg Rassy 36 is one of the first sailboats designed by German Frers for the Swedish boatyard. The hull design reflects in her superb sailing characteristics. She is surprisingly fast even with moderate winds, she points well into the sea and has a gentle impact with bow waves thanks to her moderate v-shaped hull. Her sailplan area is quite large and well balanced, the helm is always light and requires little effort to be sailed by the helmsman or the autopilot. The rig and deck equipment are those typical of a blue water sailboat, as well as the additional equipment recently installed. Freedom is a perfect choice for a couple willing to live aboard and sail her anywhere. To this purpose it would be recommendable to install a watermaker, for which there is space under the settees in the dinette and a sea water intake already available
